OFFICERS

Beth Baughman DuPree MD– Founder and Board Member
Dr. Beth DuPree is board certified in surgery and integrative medicine and has been an innovative thought leader in state-of-the-art breast cancer care nationally and internationally. Her passion to empower healing in her patients on their cancer journey has led her to a new phase of her career. She has shifted her focus from the operating room to becoming medical advisor to innovative companies focused on various aspects of survivorship. She is currently working with three transformative companies to bring about change in mental wellness and non-narcotic pain management. Dr. DuPree recently completed extensive training in psychedelic therapies.

William Scarlett DO – President
Dr. Scarlett is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He is Senior Vice President of Redeemer Health and director of the oncology service line.  Bill has been committed to demanding compassionate care for his patients and is passionate about empowering healing in his patients. In his spare time, he received his master’s degree in health care management from Harvard.

Jodi Hutchinson PA-C– Vice President
Jodi Hutchinson is a physician assistant, recognized master educator, and wellness expert with more than 38 years’ experience in clinical patient care, holistic care services, teaching, retreat facilitator and healthcare administration. She has been a board member and HCF practitioner for ten years.

Marianne Shipp – Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair
Marianne is a retired lawyer who joined the HCF board after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Her passion for the HCF grew after she attended our Breast Cancer Survivorship Experience. She witnessed young breast cancer surgeons awaken to their responsibility of promoting healing in their patients.

Mary Conaway – Secretary
Mary began working with HCF in 2016 when she was working as Dr. DuPree’s assistant. She works tirelessly to serve as the board’s secretary since 2018. In addition to having a full-time career at PECO, her “real” full-time job is being a wife and mother to three active children.

Stacy Krisher MD– Events Committee Chair
Dr. Krisher is medical director of Redeemer Health Breast Health Program. She is board certified in surgery and integrative medicine. Dr. Krisher has trained countless breast surgical oncology fellows and participates as faculty for the Breast Cancer Survivorship Experience. Her amazing husband Dominic is the creative of the HCF branding and we are so blessed that Stacy chose him to be the father of their twins.

Melanie Korzep – Services Committee Chair
Melanie is a breast cancer “thriver”, retired social worker. She is a certified mastectomy fitter as well as the owner of “Quilters Quarters” in Cottonwood and Prescott Arizona. Mel also serves as the Sedona Breast Friends (SBF) liaison.

Cari Grundman – Fundraising Committee Chair
Cari has spent her career in marketing and print media. After her breast cancer diagnosis, she became a patient advocate for Agendia, a genomic testing company, after her personal results changed the course of her treatment. She subsequently became a sales representative for the company.

Miriam Cohen – Grants Committee Chair

After a distinguished career in the public sector, Miriam Cohen serves as a consultant to federal government clients on human capital issues.  Miriam and Dr. DuPree were teammates on the University of Pittsburgh varsity tennis team. Miriam reconnected with Beth when her genetic testing revealed she was a BRCA I carrier. Dr. DuPree encouraged her to undertake a risk reduction double mastectomy.  Miriam is grateful to Beth for her friendship, sage advice and hopes to be able to help those who are at high risk or those diagnosed with breast cancer by working with the HCF. Miriam received a bachelor’s in political science and a master’s in public administration from the University of Pittsburgh. LinkedIn

Brenda Saget Darling – Marketing Committee Chair
Brenda is a breast cancer survivor and has recently retired from a successful 35-year career in media having been the publisher of iconic magazines House Beautiful, MORE Magazine, Conde Nast, and DWELL to name a few. She is passionate about bringing true healing to other breast cancer survivors.

Michelle has been a leader in the Bucks County Breast Friends support group and serves as the voice of the META Friends and Young Breast Friends support groups as well.
